This is a lovely happy healthy breed, please help to keep it so by insisting on eye tested parents and puppies. At present the incidence of eye problems is relatively low, but unless dogs are tested we will not know how extensive or not the problems are. There is ongoing research into heredItary eye conditions in the breed but at present breeders must test and test again. It is particularly important to eye test the oldies as PRA can often appear late in life. Please also give your spitz a happy natural life with plenty of exercise love and attention their greatest joy is to be with you, you are responsible for their happiness and health, don't let them down.
