Widgette, the Wonderful Widgette, named after the beer advert "a widgette is a wonderful thing" and so she proved to be. The only survivor in the litter I had from the lovely chestnut brown Phalbrienz Chrystal Bell at Rikarlo. Widgette is still very much the wonderful thing, full of life. Underestimated in her day, Widgette did win Limit at Cruft's under Marion Foster who recognised her quality. She did other winning under reluctant judges who were amazed that she DID go under the measure! Her beautiful colour inherited from Chrystal, and her soundness and wonderful temperament, (also her lovely big teeth,) continues in her descendants. Widgette gave me three Champions including the best of them all Ch. Wychlea Anne Versary JW., but most of all she gave her descendants that wonderful joy of life without which a spitz is not a true German Spitz.
